The 48th Brigade Combat Team mourns 11 of its Soldiers

The 48th Brigade Combat Team is in mourning. At least 11 members of the Brigade are believed or are confirmed dead following roadside bombings.
The Department of Defense has identified four of those. They are:

      Staff Sgt. Carl Fuller of Covington
      Sgt. John Thomas of Valdosta
      Sgt. James Kinlow of Thompson
      Spc. Jacques "Gus" Brunson of Americus

The four were members of the 2nd battalion, 121st Infantry. They were killed by a roadside bomb while they were on patrol in Baghdad.

Seven other Soldiers have also died in combat in the past week. Their names have not officially been released pending notification of family.

These are the first combat deaths of Georgia Army Guardsmen since World War II.
