Trainers Course Set for Mid-July

Georgia DoD and the Office of Organizational Development hold a Training, Tools and Techniques Course July 12-15 for present & future trainers at the 283rd Combat Communications Squadron, 1478 1st St., Dobbins Air Reserve Base.

Those planning to participate should make their reservations by e-mail a registration form (see the attachment) to reserve a seat to Sgt. Angela Pippins, management analyst assistant for the Office of Organizational Development at angela.pippins@ga.ngb.army.mil. Participants should also see their unit representative for available funding to attend the course.

The purpose of the course is to provide volunteer adjunct instructors with adult learning concepts and methodologies that will ensure exciting, fun and effective learning.

After completing this course, Pippins said, trainers will be able to:

* Set a positive climate that will be conducive to adult learning.
* Provide necessary resources for adult learning to occur, valuing and finding creative ways of utilizing the richest resource: the experience of adult learners.
* Design, develop and deliver training that follows the cycle of adult learning.
* Design, develop and deliver training that appeal to people with different learning styles.
* Use the communication skills and methods of delivery that will make learning exciting, fun and immediately applicable for those responsible for training.
* Constantly vary training process to facilitate the learning of course content.
